Her: We talked about child birth in child development today - safe to say I'm going to adopt!
Me: Haha.
Her: I don't want anything ripped open - parasites! I apologize for what I did nearly 20 years ago.
Me: I had a c-section - - no problem!
Her: We talked about that too! Got light headed.
Me: The drugs are awesome!
Her: The after effects don't sound pleasing.
Me: YOU were the after effect!
She went on to talk about wearing diapers - - not the baby, but her. I didn't pursue that line of thinking because it really confused and disturbed me. BUT it made me realize what a great blessing children are. I loved being pregnant, and the after effects WERE and still ARE pretty amazing! So, I am going to share my after effects with you this one time . . . sorry for being self-indulgent :)
Yes, while childbirth isn't the most pleasant experience, the after effects are pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteI had 3 c-sections - the hardest part was picking the day!
DeleteLadyface, your after effects are AMAZING!!!! :) You make beautiful children! Viva family!
ReplyDeleteLisa - Shelby asked me to bring you a diet coke from her! So, don't be surprised one day when some crazy lady rings your bell!
DeleteYou have gorgeous kids, Judy! Personally, I think After Effects are pretty damn spectacular. :-D
ReplyDeleteSpectacular is the perfect word, Kelly!
DeleteWhat a beautiful family ..um..after affects.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteMy first was c-section. The other two were 'normal'. I can say there are pros and cons to both ways. Your after effects are pretty good looking.
ReplyDeleteI used to feel like I was kind of gypped from the while giving birth experience, but the "after effects" were the same no matter which way I delivered, so . . . :)
DeleteYour daughter is a hoot! I didn't have kids but I dote on my doggies. :)
ReplyDeleteI dote on my doggy, too :) My kids think I love her more than I love them! haha
DeleteThe c-section after effects weren't that bad for me either, of course the child is worth it all. Adoption is always a great choice too!!!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how they come to you, children are always a blessing!
DeleteThose are some of the best after-effects I've ever seen. Beautiful kids (they will always be "kids," right?). Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAfter effects that last forever :)
DeleteOh how awesome to see faces!! (:
ReplyDeleteI um... Also get a tad bit freaked out on this topic... Kinda plan on uh... Ignoring it for a while...
Yup - time to be a young girl now ! Plenty of time for all that stuff later :)
DeleteOf course, you have after effects and I have after shocks. ;) Your family is beyond beautiful Judy, you should be so incredibly proud - I know you are.. - Just beautiful.. Thank you for sharing. <3
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to make me smile - - thank goodness for your after shocks, right?!
DeleteI am always fascinated by women who hate being pregnant (not the ones who can't lift their heads off the porcelain throne...the others just walking around unhappy). I loved it! Thank you for sharing your after effects with us!
ReplyDeleteI know there are circumstances when pregnancy was not planned or wanted, but for those of us who plan and want, it is the greatest thing!!
DeleteWhat an adorable family! May you always be together :)
ReplyDeleteThank you - - that's our goal - - together forever!
DeleteI love it! My daughter has had a similar conversation with me. She thinks the whole business is horrifying, but I'm sticking to my guns on this: both of my kids were so worth it, I'd do it again and again! She remains unconvinced.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Children ARE a great after effect! And it's wonderful when they learn about childbirth, and it hits them what mom went through. Sweet convo w/ your girl. :-)
