Dear Blogging Family

Alright, my blogging family.   I told you all about the haunted hotel in Oklahoma City.  I may get to visit it sooner than I had anticipated.   My father is very ill and not expected to live much longer.   He and my mother live in Oklahoma.  I expect a phone call any time.  Could be  today, could be tomorrow, or next week.  Even next month.

But, my point is twofold:  if there comes a time when you don't hear from me for a week or so, it is because I have flown to Oklahoma to be with my mother.   And, if that happens, I will have to spend a night in Oklahoma City, so if I'm up to it, I may be looking for Effie on the 10th floor :)

(Please don't unfollow me if you don't see me here for a few days at some point :)   I will come back.)

  6. Don't wait on any longer than you have to on that visit to your father. My dad passed last year from Stage 4 cancer and it was a very difficult year for me. Even though I knew he was ill. Even though I went saw him when he was best after diagnosis. Even though. The passing was still miserable. Just because. Just because he was my dad and you only get one. I know he is in heaven. I have had dreams and he is visited me and when he have talked since he has passed. And I know that those dreams are as real as any conversation we have had since he was alive. And still I miss him every day. So, pray that things can happen in such a way that you just go. I don't know precisely what that will mean for you, but that all of the things that are making it difficult RESOLVE. You will want this time with your dad. And time is the one thing we can't ever get back. No begging, borrowing, stealing, trading, nothing. Time remains absolute in its ticking on.
