X Marks The Spot

X is a stupid letter.  Sorry, X, but you are.   You are really useless.   Well, except for the "X marks the spot" thing.  That's kind of cool.  But other than that, I don't really see where you fit in.   The alphabet could really be 25 letters, cuz, seriously, what are we supposed to do with an X?   Especially if you're like me and you've been doing food all month.   If I wasn't doing food, I could do X-Files or Xmen.  But, I've done food all month and I'm not about to give up now.   I guess I could do Xtra gum.  Boring.   Or Xtra big helping of tarantulas.  Umm, no thanks.    I could do chinese food because it all seems to begin with an X.   I suppose I could do X-ray - - but that  doesn't really have anything to do with food.

OK!  Bingo!  I will do "xoxo" - which we all know means hugs and kisses.   HERSHEYS!   Yup - it all comes back to chocolate, baby!  X - you have redeemed yourself!

XOXO

  2. I have a true love affair with various kinds of chocolate, not so much the kiss but for sure various other hersey products. Women and chocolate, don't they just compliment each other well!!!

  3. XOXO is the PERFECT choice for the letter X. Not just for the yummy candy, but for those sweet Xs and Os we sometimes find tucked under the signatures inside cards and letters.

  4. HA! I agree, X is pretty useless. Although I posted a gruesome, but awesome X-ray today for my X post. I love the XOXO term, so great. And chocolate kisses?
Can't beat that. I love the look of your blog. It's colorful and clean, artistic. Blogs like yours hold my attention more than ones with strictly text. I need that visual stimulation. Sad, but true. :-)

  5. I Think the letter X has been thought more about this week than it ever has ever. I thought about blogging about where it came from and why we have it but I decided not to give it too much exposure because it is such a stupid letter. Nice way you've dealt with it.

  16. Speaking on behalf of my client, Mr. X, we feel that you have unfairly attacked my client's character and moral conduct, by deeming Mr. X a "stupid letter." You are hereby informed that you can expect to take this matter up in court. [Unless, however, you would like to negotiate. We can work the details out in chocolatese. Quantity is of the greatest concern here.] Thanking you in advance, I remain, sincerely yours, Axle Baxter, Attorney at Ex, lax, and Baxter, Tax Attorneys, Extraordinaire
