It happened again! While my husband and I were at work yesterday, my son and his wife dropped by only to find our dog, Izzy, sitting on the dining room table, waiting for someone to get her down! I purposefully pushed all the chairs in so that she couldn't climb on one and then jump onto the table. She is a small dog, so jumping vertically from the floor onto the dining table would be quite a superdog feat! I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation . . . or is there? I don't know. Why would she get on the table by herself? It's slippery and not easy to walk on. There is nothing on the table to tempt her to risk it. She would literally have to launch herself off the couch 20 feet away and then cross her little paws that she could make a safe landing on the table - - without sliding across the slippery surface, landing face down on the tile floor. Does that make sense?
Again.
I told my very practical husband about the last time and it even spooked him a little. This is really weird. You need a nanny cam.
ReplyDeleteGood idea on the nanny cam! This is weird. Got any trusted friends or relatives who like playing practical jokes?
ReplyDeleteNanny cam! I'm curious.
ReplyDeleteThat is too weird! I don't like it when our dogs see something and go on point but when I look, it is nothing. I'd hate to come home and find them doing something so weird, like standing on the table!
ReplyDeleteI think a nanny cam is a great idea! If it happens again we'll have to put Nancy Drew on the case :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Judy. Buster Douglas, a very small rat terrier used to be able to vertically jump to the top of the door. Your dog is not as big, but that's twice the height of a table. I think your doggie is "big top" material.
ReplyDeleteYou can use a nanny cam, but you know poltergeist won't show up on it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny!
DeleteBut it would be amazingly weird to see her just sort of floating in the air and landing on the table :).

DeleteMy son used to do the same thing before he could even walk. I would leave the room, come back and find him sitting in the middle of the table like a birthday cake. Definitely film this, I'm immensely curious.
ReplyDeleteYour dog is acting strangely, indeed. I wonder if, for some reason, he got scared by some noise and that gave him some adrenalin rush, enough to jump to the table?
ReplyDeletehum... no experience on that front ! have a great sunday !!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the nanny cam suggestion above. It would be very interesting to see just how that happens. I liked the clip you linked to, I've been thinking about how my Dozer would react to a haunted space.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm having trouble, lately, posting comments to you account. Using my wordpress ID (theparanormalist) used to work, didn't it? I'm trying google now.
I vote nanny cam. It's either a flying dog or a dog being toyed with by a supernatural entity. Either way, it's worth recording for posterity.
ReplyDeleteWow- You need to rig a video up...I want to see this!
