Just Because

Just because.   When I was a kid, those were dreaded words.    And stupid words.  They didn't make any sense.  And I hated them.

Mom, why can't I spend the night at Jenny's house?  Just because.
Mom, why can't I wait and do my homework later?  Just because.
Mom, why does Sherry always get to do it but I can't?  Just because.

Stupid, stupid words.    Or so I used to think.
Perspective.  It's all about perspective.

Honey, why are you going shopping . . . again?   Just because.
Honey, why are you having cake for breakfast?  Just because.
Honey, it's noon.  Why are you still in bed?   Just because.

Now those dreaded, hated words are MAGIC words.
And they make perfect sense to me.

  8. I may steal these words. Please don't call the Plagarism Police as Joe will be the only one hearing them.
