Hope

This morning as I was getting dressed for work I started singing For Unto Us A Child Is Born from Handel's Messiah.   I love this so much.   It makes me feel happy.  It makes me feel so grateful.    But mostly it gives me Hope.

For unto us a Child is born,
unto us a Son is given,
and the government shall be upon His shoulder;
and His name shall be called
Wonderful,
Counsellor,
The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.

It gives me Hope that, even though the world may be getting crazier and meaner every day, all will be well!

Have Hope!!

  8. I always loved Handel's Messiah. I know I have the album but I can't remember who performs it.

  10. Hope... just an amazing thing, and almost impossible to get thru life's hazards without. As far as I'm concerned, there is but one source of hope, just as you have written of here. With the Grace of God we have everything, without it we have nothing we are lost in darkness and chaos. Thank you for the powerful reminder this day of the joy that hope brings us!

  11. Wow, your early morning karaoke is a bit more refined than mine. I was singing I Like Big Butts by Sir Mix-A-Lot.
