I saw a picture on facebook yesterday of a girl who was letting her boyfriend tattoo her face. The tattoo was gargantuan, ugly and took over her entire face. I couldn't help but think that this poor vulnerable girl will be very very sorry (someday - - maybe even the first time) when she looks in the mirror and the image she sees looking back at her is no longer her, but rather someone her boyfriend wants her to be. The image of her face will be his, not hers. Anyway, it made me sad.
SO, to counteract my sadness, I found these pictures. These pictures made me happy.
Two cats. . . one heart :)
If I ever had a nose job, I'd want one like this :)
And, if I were ever to get a tattoo, it would look just like this little guy's hip :)
Side note: I will be on hiatus for a few days . . . I am going to enjoy my daughter's laughter and delightful company until she leaves next Tuesday.
Tats on the face? Dumb!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics
I was going to post the picture of her but thought that would be in bad taste.
ReplyDeleteAll I can think about is the day that they break up. And she has to look at herself forever and see HIM. It will take a long time to get over that. Tattoo removal is so darn painful. What a terrible way to learn a life lesson. However, I bet she remembers it.
ReplyDeleteAnd it wasn't like a "normal" tattoo - - her face looked like it had been dunked in a big vat of ink. Horrible.
Deleteyou are already in the valentine spirit !
ReplyDeletehaha - I guess I am! Happy pre-Valentine's Day, Anni!
DeleteIsn't that tattoo just dreadful? Did you read the link? She had just met him less than 24 hours before but it was 'love at first sight'. He's a tattoo artist and she let him ink her face with 'Ruslan', his nickname. It's just awful. She's crazy. What's she going to do when they break up? Because you KNOW they will......
ReplyDeleteThat's so much worse!! I didn't know he had only been her "boyfriend" for less than 24 hours. that poor girl has some serious issues.
DeleteThose pictures: so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThat tattoo: so dumb. The level of some people's stupidity amazes me...
I bet her stupidity has direct relation to her lack of self-worth. Sad.
DeleteSweet!!!!! The pics made me smile too.
ReplyDeleteGood!
DeleteBefore you take your hiatus, if you have time to check my Thursday post I dedicated a little something-something to you:)
ReplyDeletehaha! Thanks, Robin!
DeleteOh that poor girl.. :( Thank you for the photos. I love all things hearts and these made me smile. We had a dog with a heart shape on him too! We named him King of Hearts on his papers. :) - Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy your daughter.. My heart is aching and pumping with pride for you. :) We'll be here when you get back but the food will be gone. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks :) And, as far as the food goes - - I've decided I need to eat more healthy while she's gone so no problem!!
DeleteOh geesh; I hope the girl doesn't get that tattoo. I think its one of those things she'll regret some time in her life. However,I did like the pictures of the animals; too cute!!!
ReplyDeletebetty
Too late - - she already got it :(
DeletePoor silly girl!! She will regret it.
ReplyDeleteI love the happy pictures you have chosen.
The things some people do for "love" !!! Crazy!
DeleteAww, I want a love heart puppy! I'd call him Casanova!
ReplyDeleteThat makes me sad to read! Some things done on a whim have lasting consequences; it's unfortunate. After seeing these cute pics I think I still need to watch a funny movie or show or listen to some upbeat music!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean :)
DeleteI had to google that story because I'm a glutton for punishment. I just wish we were all allowed a couple of do-overs in life because that girl is definitely going to need one.
ReplyDeleteI so so love the idea of a do-over! I could use 1 or 7 :)
DeleteThe story of the girl just breaks my heart! My daughter just got her first tattoo. It's small and cute and on her foot. I am grateful for that because she so wanted one last year that was big and completely tied up in meaning to her boyfriend. She didn't want to hear what I had to say, but she didn't get it and since he broke up with her just before Christmas, she is pretty glad she didn't. :)
ReplyDeleteThere's a heart on the puppy's hip! <3 Too much cuteness to handle!
ReplyDeletethose pictures make everyone happy!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so sweet! It's probably going to be painful for that young woman to have the tattoo removed!
ReplyDeleteAw, wouldn't you love to have that 'love-puppy'?
ReplyDeleteGo, enjoy these days with your daughter! What an exciting adventure she is about to embark on. I've thought of your family all weekend, praying for these days to be filled with joy, and that her mission is fruitful.
ReplyDeleteI get overwhelmed with the news sometimes, too, and seek solace in pet pictures. Like this one.
