Our Forgotten Children

My husband and I were walking to a wedding last night.   I don't know why he was walking about 100 feet in front of me, but he was.  I was struggling with my heels and dress and was having a hard time not tripping on the cracks in the sidewalk.  I was trying not to break my mother's back.   Then my phone rang.   It was the children's school.   It was a half day of school and all the children were gone.   Except ours.  We had forgotten to pick them up.   But, not to worry.  They were taken to the Rush Limbaugh after-school program.   Thank goodness!!

By the way, did I mention that our children are 24, 22 and 20 years old???!!

  1. LOL Glad they were safe and sound. I live in fear that I'm going to do this one day—and I know I will, eventually. Yesterday, I lay down for a five-minute nap and ended up waking up almost too late to pick up my son at the bus stop. Close call! :)
