Random thoughts of a girl who used to try to fit in the box. Then I realized that boxes are stupid. Except this box, the one above. It's really pretty.

It's Dark
The only thing missing is my computer
It's dark. It's dark when I wake up. It's mostly dark when I get to work. And starting next Monday it will be dark when I get off from work. I work in the basement. It's dark. I have no windows down here. I never know when the sun is shining. Or when the rain is falling. Or when the aliens land. Or when the aliens are hovering. I have no windows.
I so feel for you. My old school: left home in the dark; worked in a classroom with no windows; ate lunch in a teachers' room with no windows; used the bathroom in a room with no windows; stood in the hallway between classes with no windows; and drove home in the dark. Fortunately, during track season, I got to see the sun for a while during practice.
You should get one of those lamps that is like the sunlight.
I don't like when it gets dark so early and it takes forever for the sun to rise in the morning. I don't think I would like working in the basement; I do like looking out the window.
Some people are okay with that- I need sunlight or I feel tight all day!
ReplyDeleteI could use a little sunlight once in a while!
DeleteI always loved Washington's dark winters and northern proximity that made late sunrises and early sunsets. I miss that.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind so much the morning or the early sunsets, it's the inbetween part that's kind of a bummer!
Deletei would not enjoy that--the older i get the more i need that old sun!
ReplyDeleteSun is good!
Deletelooks like you could use a couple of candles
ReplyDeletevanilla scented
DeleteOur office has windows. Unfortunately, my desk is in the darkest corner, furthest from the light of day. It makes for a hard winter!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, Michelle.

I may get a big poster that looks like a window and put it up on my wall :)
DeleteI hate the dark!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to be on the dark for a ling time - like a coffin or something :)
DeleteI will call you when the zombie apocalypse begins...especially if it begins during a Monday-Friday from 8 to 5...;) xo
ReplyDeleteYou are a great friend, Lisa. But who will warn me of the zombies when you move? :(

ReplyDeletebetty
The basement gets me away from the crazies that work upstairs - that's why I like it :)
DeleteI certainly hope that this is not a picture of your office !!
ReplyDeleteWe're slightly more civilized than that, Anni :)
DeleteYuck! I would not like being in the dark all the time, but as you said, at least you won't have to see when the aliens land. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAlways look at the bright side!
DeleteAre you part vampire?
ReplyDeleteHmmm . . . maybe I should be tested :)
DeleteGood thing we don't live in Barrow, Alaska.
ReplyDeleteOr in a cave
DeleteI hate basements. I hear they don't have them in Texas. Guess where we'll be retiring?
