Count 'em . . . I Dare You

Today just feels like a really good day to count my blessings.

My family, namely a husband who loves me (I don't know why),
a son and his wife who are going to make me a grandma,
a son who is kind and compassionate,
and a daughter who is steadfast and true and crazy fun!!
A good home.   My fireplace.
Our jobs.
The approach of my favorite season, autumn.
Pumpkins and hot chocolate and Halloween and candy corn.
Good health.   Ibuprofen, and all other drugs that ease pain.
Smart doctors, and smarter nurses.
A car that runs when you turn the key.
A soft bed and a warm blanket.
Ben and Jerry.  My sisters and brother - - on both sides.
The sweetest (barkiest) dog who loves unconditionally.  Cell phones.
My blogging family.  College football.
The gospel of Jesus Christ.  Knowing families can be together forever.
The beautiful park near our home.
A country of freedom and liberty.
The people who fight and sacrifice so much to preserve our freedom and liberty.

And it goes on and on and on.   What are some of your blessings??  Go ahead.  Count 'em - I dare you.

    1. I think we all get caught in that trap - "I wish I had . . . and then I'll be happy" - - that trap :) I tell my husband all the time that if we expect to get more blessings then we really need to be thankful for the ones we already have!

  8. I am blessed to have my husband and daughter alive and well.
I am blessed to have a great relationship with both.
I am blessed to be able to be a homemaker.
I could go on and on.
I learned many years ago not to take what you have for granted. You never know when that may change.

  9. I remember singing "When upon life's pillows you are ten feet tall" at the beginning of the song. It's what a lot of little kids think the words are. It seems silly and funny, but when you think of it, you can feel ten feet tall when you count your blessings, and you don't need pillows.

    1. Haha, this made me me laugh. But, now, you know, I'm going to be singing that the rest of the day :)

Our gratitude list is hanging on the wall in our kitchen, we add a little everyday--sometimes we draw pictures to capture it better. The list goes on and on...xo
