Tears

I too am saddened by the tragic events of early this morning in Aurora, Colorado.   What is wrong with people?   I know there have always been sick/troubled/evil people from the  beginning of time.  But is it just me?   Does it seem to be getting worse?   I read about a woman in Russa who was "fed up" with her children and wanted to "get rid of them," so she threw them out of a window - she lived on the 15th floor.  They were 4 and 7 years old.  And the stories go on and on and on.

If I didn't believe what I believe and have faith that all will be well and just and equal in the end, I don't know what I would do.  I'm so grateful to know that we have a loving Heavenly Father and that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ.  I don't know all the answers, but I do know that they will make things right.

In the meantime, prayers are out to all who suffer.

  2. I don't understand it, either. I wonder if some people have a warped perception of reality because of the things we see in movies and on television. I think the makers of these movies need to be more aware of how what they produce affects people. It's so sad!

  3. My husband and I were watching that story on the special report today and I was torn between giving that asshole his 15 minutes of fame and being numb by the senselessness.

  4. We also live in a world where all news is instant and global. We hear about everything.

    1. Very true. I wouldn't say ignorance is bliss but I don't know that we were meant to be so inundated with every little detail of every single bad thing that happens. Hard to take sometimes.

    1. I still believe there are far more good people than otherwise. The "otherwise" are much more dramatic, however, and that's what we're seeing.

I believe people do what they do, because they don't have the faith we do. They are lacking something ... or rather Someone's presence in their lives.. and it drives them to do such things. Incredibly saddening. Keeping the suffering in our prayers as well.

  8. It is sad; and I agree with you, without faith and without the confidence that Jesus one day will restore the earth, I don't know how anyone can get through a day (I know I can't). It just always reminds us how truly short life can be and how we should treasure those we love.

  9. Yep, it's awful. I think the culture is getting worse, b/c we are getting desensitized to the crap. We are having to "tolerate" more and more. This guy surely snapped, we will learn more as it unfolds, but clearly, life is more complicated and stressful than it used to be. I, too, feel for his parents. And I, too, thank God that He is in control. He is not surprised by human failure and sin. I just ache for all those who were hurt.

  10. What a glorious day it will be when we get to meet God face to face ! He and He alone has the answers we just have to trust in Him to see us through all this evil, I know that it is human nature to want/need answers but we can never know the plan God has for each and every one of us and you are so right it isn't any ones fault (his mom) that he CHOSE to do this horrific crime.

  14. I am not sure if there is more or not. Word of the horrible things just seems to spread more now due to the different social media and also international news becoming more accessible.
