Dream Weaver

I am one of those people who dreams every night.   And I always remember and usually enjoy my dreams.   They are like watching a movie - - they have a story.    Last night, though, was a first for me.  It was as if I was watching a triple feature.   I had three dreams going on, all with separate stories.   The only thing missing were the previews of coming attractions.

And then the three dreams started to co-mingle and become one story instead of three.  It was weird and really confusing - - I woke up not knowing what day it was, which doesn't happen very often.  Needless to say, I was kind of bummed when I realized it was Monday and I had to go to work.

I think I'd rather be home watching how my three dreams/turned into one dream story turns out.   Someone needs to invent a dream DVR.

  1. Wow, you must have an active imagination to dream every night AND remember it! That's great fodder for all kinds of writing!

  2. Do you ever wake up exhausted because you were running or looking for something all night in a dream?

    1. I'm usually running FROM someone because he's trying to kill me ! Yikes, what does that say about my mind??!!

  3. I have vivid dreams too but they never stick around long enough for me to write them down. I do go thru phases where they will, but mostly they fade by the time I get out of bed.

  5. LOL; interesting three dreams incorporated into one; that must have been hard to keep up with indeed! Isn't it terrible when you do wake up and reality hits you in the face that it is Monday? hope it was a good one!

  6. I'm a little jealous since I rarely remember my dreams and don't even know if I dream every night!

  7. I don't really dream a lot. I think by the time I go to sleep, I am just too exhausted to even dream. :/

  8. I'm fascinated by dreams (as you may have noticed from some of the posts on my blog). I've never had three dreams turn into one dream, but I did once have a dream where I was on a train and then, within the dream, I woke up and I was on a train so I started telling all the passengers near me that I had dreamed I was on a train and then woken up to find myself on a train and just as I was getting all kinds of excited to explain it, I woke up within the dream again and found myself on the train all over again. It was like the Russian nesting dolls of dreams. So very strange.

I think the dream DVR thing is a brilliant idea--though it could potentially be a little frightening, as well.

  9. If you get the dream DVR thing going, you'll make a fortune. People have been doing dream analysis forever.

    1. I'm not so sure I believe in dream analysis . . . or at least I don't believe that all dreams mean something :)

  10. The waking up from a nap when you went to sleep with it being light and now it is dark and you think it is morning but find out it is night?? Those bring me very weird remembrances of dreams for some silly reason. I will buy one of those DVR's let me know when they get marketed? :))

  15. I make sure that I am awake when I dream; that way I always remember them.
