I need a happy pill. And, no, not an "illegal" happy pill. Never ever those. I'm talking about the bottles of pills that are in stores like Spencers or sometimes greeting card stores. They are candies bottled to look like prescription drugs. For all occasions. I want one of those bottles with the happy pills - "take 2 if you want to be ecstatically, hysterically, blissfully, eternally happy." Those pills.
That's it. Just a happy pill.
Put on your very favorite music in the whole world and dance your heart out. Works just as well.
ReplyDeleteI like that idea, but I think my co-workers would think I was TOO happy :)
DeleteDo they still sell those? I would have thought the states would have banned them for looking too real.
ReplyDeleteReading your blog post, I was reminded of many years ago as a little child in church. There was an older man who carried smarties in his pocket. He made his rounds and would give one candy each and tell us that it was a "Smarty pill" and if you were sad, it would bring a smile. If you were happy it would just make you happier. : )
ReplyDeleteI like that idea. Must keep this in mind! What a nice thing to do!
DeleteThat is a cute idea. Maybe if I can't find my happy pills I'll go get some smarties!
DeleteHi Judy, want to send greetings because am going to Istanbul for a few days ! It is my first visit but they tell me one can find just about anything there in their big bazar ! so maybe also what you are looking for !?
ReplyDeleteIstanbul! Wow, Anni! I'm jealous! Can't wait to see your pictures!!! Have a wonderful time :)
DeleteHmmm, Happy Pills....Maybe we should all make our own. Find ourselves a cute bottle or jar...pick out our favorite small candies..make a cute little label..and only allow ourselves to indulge when we need one. Hope you found you happy pill today Judy!
ReplyDeleteGet some peanut M&Ms or Skittles and put them in a bottle. You'll get more bang for your buck. It's not the same though. If you have to make it up yourself, then you know it's only pretend. Close your eyes and pick a happy memory. Repeat as necessary.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Love was in her 80's and every Sunday after church, my sisters and I would drive her home, and she would pull out a worn sandwich baggie with a handful of M&M's. We'd each get one. And it was delicious! It's been almost 30 years, and I still remember how much we adored her, and not just for her candy!
ReplyDeleteWhat an appropriate name for her :)
DeleteHeyyy dont knock the illegal happy pills! :P
ReplyDeleteThe A to Z Challenge kicks off tomorrow - looking forward to your posts!

It appears if you are not happy , you are at least VERY busy with your A-Z challenge!! There are LOTS of coconuts down here in Key West... I am actually a bit concerned, about how much they may hurt, if I happened to be under one when it fell-
