But, I love to DRINK water. In a bottle. My husband says that buying bottled water is stupid - - why pay money for water when you can drink it for free? I understand his thinking. However, it's not necessarily the water - - it's the bottles. There are some really cool shaped water bottles out there. This is one of my favorites - -
It's a Norwegian sparkling water. And it's glass. I like that a lot. A friend of mine who owns a wine shop gave me a bottle of it. (I wouldn't have bought it cuz it was too expensive.) But I blathered about how cool the bottle was for so long that I think this was her way of telling me to shut up.
Another one of my favorites is this - -
I think I like this one because it's more square shaped instead of round. It's kind of expensive, so I only buy it when it's on sale. But, it's pretty, isn't it?
I know. It's probably irresponsible and environmentally insensitive of me to buy bottled water just for the aethetics value.
The moral of this story? There isn't one. It's really pathetic to write a whole blog post on bottled water. So, I'll end now.
I've never seen that glass one (very cool), but I do love the Fiji one. I also buy the Smart Water because I love the bottle (with the flip-top), also because it makes me feel smart to be seen with it.
ReplyDeleteI love water to drink and to swim! Although, I hate getting my face wet so I'm not sure why I love swimming so much. I have bought a water bottle that I take every where with me, and even at home I prefer to drink out of it. I don't know why, but I just like it better than a cup. Water tastes the same, but I enjoy it so much more!
ReplyDeleteI don't like to be in deep water either. It makes me very nervous. I'm not much of a water drinker either. I'm trying harder to do it, but I don't like the taste of plain water. I have to admit we do have great tasting well water at our house and I should get in the habit of bringing my own with me. Some the bottles water comes in are pretty though. I need to find a really pretty, cool, safe water bottle to carry around. I need it to stay cold though. Who knew we could talk so much about H2O?
ReplyDeleteI love the glass one!
ReplyDeleteI recently bought a brand new water bottle and fell in love. I'm with Michelle, I drink out of a water bottle even at home. It helps me keep track of how much water I've drunk (drank? drunken? drunked?)
I love swimming (coming from a lifeguard, you'd hope so)! Hate the going to the pool, changing, getting wet, getting dry, coming home part. But love the swimming.
These are two of my favorite water bottles, too! I I just refill them from the tap so I can be frugal and awesome at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI also refill as much as possible - but eventually the bottles need to be tossed and a new one used - especially when I find a really cool, pretty new one :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Larissa - you're adorable.
I just found your blog – I don’t like water with ice in it so I don’t drink it in restaurants. Growing up (in Paris) we never placed ice in water. I used to drink Perrier – it is sparkling water – and we drank it just “fresh.”
ReplyDeleteWater is my number one beverage of choice - preferably with ice. I don't recognize those water bottles but the first one is especially cool. The big rage around here is Klean Kanteen water bottles - mine is Tiffany Blue!
ReplyDeleteOh, and the word thingy for that last post? FATHO -- go figure -- sounds like something I would hear at school.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Vagabonde! I can drink water either way - with or without ice. But when in Paris . . .
ReplyDeleteSebtown - I've never heard of Klean Kanteen - a new one for me to look out for !
My water of choice is Bell Springs water; our water comes from springs and is as sweet as any you will ever taste. We are very fortunate.
ReplyDeleteMy grandparents had their water pipe attached to a natural spring the whole time I was growing up. They had no running hot water and just left the cold tap running all the time to avoid sediment building up in the line. That was fantastic water. My father and his girlfriend live in that house now, but the spring flow has become unreliable in recent years and they preferred being able to shower (to heating water on the stove for sponge baths) so they had a well dug.
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of cool water bottles--have you seen Fred water? It was first brought to my attention a few years ago when several of the residents in the house bought it to give to a coworker (named Fred, of course). It comes in what looks like a flask. https://shop.fredspot.com/store/
you can always refill them from the tap ...
ReplyDeleteMasked Mom - i just looked up "Fred" - - very cool bottle!! I wonder if they sell them in the stores or just online??
ReplyDeleteThe guys bought it in a local convenience store--so they do sell some in stores, but based on that site I was on, it's also available online.
DeleteI tend to like water that's bottled somewhat near me, otherwise I don't like the taste. As for bottles, I bought a couple a few months ago because they came in blue bottles :) No idea what brand they were. Labels are gone.
